Professional Strengths

Seasoned Professional
I bring nearly twenty years of experience in fundraising, strategic planning, program design and evaluations for non-profit organizations, specializing in private foundations and government grants. I am a sole proprietor dedicated to providing personalized and highly tailored services to each client, every time.

Personalized Attention
When we team up for a project I am the person with whom you will interact, from start to finish. I work with a select and small number of organizations at any given time, to ensure full attention to each client and his/her projects.

History of Service
I am committed to serving organizations in Northern California, where I reside. I also work across the U.S. and internationally. In the San Francisco Bay Area, I have worked with non-profits in Berkeley, Danville, Kentfield, Marin City, Oakland, Richmond, Salinas, San Francisco, San Jose, San Mateo, San Rafael, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, and many other cities and towns throughout the region.
My expertise in education, community enhancement, social justice, and the arts has enabled nearly 100 non-profits to design valuable plans and programs, submit compelling grant proposals, receive funding, and prepare thorough program evaluations for their funders.
Working on grants, I have helped raise over $4 million dollars, in addition to funding from individuals. I have assisted executive directors, chief executive officers, program directors, and board members in their efforts to raise funds for programs and organizations that benefit their communities and stakeholders.
Working on strategic plans, I have provided trainings, designed and facilitated retreats, and written strategic and operational plans for a wide range of organizations. I have partnered with organizations dedicated to:
    • Arts
    • Education
    • Health and wellness
    • Leadership development
    • LGBTQ populations
    • People with disabilities
    • Philanthropy
Professionalism and Skills
I hold a Doctorate Degree in Sociology from The University of Chicago. This advanced degree translates into incisive, insightful, precise and thoughtful writing, planning and research skills. I utilize my unique strengths to assist clients in achieving high standards in fundraising, strategic planning, and evaluations submitted to funders.  From developing, streamlining, and reporting on plans and program designs, to refining objectives, outcomes and evaluation methods, my work is strategic, insightful and impactful.
